#RPGaDay 4: Most Impressive Thing Another Character Did?

So, there we are, a group of rag-tag adventurers who were supposed to be murderhobos in a frozen world, but who somehow* ended up wanting to overthrow the deathless Ice King and bring back the sun.

I was a teleporting warlock with an identity problem. Vor-Kai was a water-based warlord. Hrothgar, our mighty barbarian-ranger, had a saber-toothed tiger as his mount. We find the Ice King and essentially confront him at a very public arena, like the kind of place where they release lions to chew down heretics.

We manage somehow to taunt him into coming onto the arena field. We manage to get him to lose his cool.

Hrothgar charges up and one-shots him. It’s 4th edition D&D, so he chooses to knock him unconscious.

The crowd is stunned and bewildered. Hrothgar trusses him up, throws him on the back of the tiger, and we book it before things get really messy.

The DM puts his microphone on mute for several minutes while he walks away from the screen, screams obscenity, and tears up all his carefully-made notes and plot hooks.

* That part was me. I own it.
