Here’s what I finished knitting recently:
Sock Wars V death socks:
I sent them to my victim very promptly, and received my death socks promptly as well. *sigh* So I am dead in Sock Wars, but I did get to participate in killing 2 people.
Iron Knitter Round 1 socks, which I gave to my sister because they don’t fit:
My replacement February Lady Sweater:
This one has a neat story behind it. On one of the Ravelry groups I’m in, a Finnish knitter and designer posted an offer to trade a half-done February Lady Sweater in a plus size for a skein of sock yarn: “I want: Not having to knit a single repeat more ever again.” I told her about my lost sweater, which still had me heartbroken, and said this sounded like the perfect opportunity to mend two hearts with one. I poked at knitting on the sweater in between socks, and just finished up (the lace repeats, for me, go very quickly).
And slipper socks for a friend who donated $100 last year to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society:
They were quick, easy to knit, and a lot of fun!
I’m now working on a thick shawl, a vest, a hat, a sweater, and a couple of lace shawls. Later tonight, I will cast on for the second pair of Iron Knitter socks.
