I knitted a top with souvenir yarn from a trip, and here are the details and modifications I made!
The sweater ate my brain. I’ve knit about 50 rows on it without it becoming appreciably longer. It is, however, eating yarn at an alarming rate. I sat down with a pencil and calculator and figured out that there are 72,749 stitches in the pattern, and, at approximately 2500 stitches per skein, I will need about 5 more skeins of yarn to finish it (5 more than I have, having bought 2 “extra” skeins, when estimating based on yardage).
I may be in trouble here.
On the other hand: cables, pretty. Yarn snuggly. Sweater will be so warm, if I knit one for the whole RV we’d be able to stay in snowy places without fear of frozen pipes.
Also, I will put this out here because I’m looking: I am looking for a comic book artist who also knits. Must be able to draw superheroes. Leave a comment if you want to show me your portfolio. 100% telecommute, paying job. Will be a lot of fun, too.
