#18: Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn. I read this for a new book club I’m in (approaching July 1 with fewer than 25 books read has me a little concerned for my 50-book-challenge). Halfway through, I literally yelled “Oh, my god!” As the entire story unraveled and re-wove itself.
#19: The Entitled, by Frank Deford. I read Deford’s book ablut his daughter when I was a teen, and it affected me greatly. This book, however… not so much. But after Gone Girl, it would have been hard to sustain the same intensity.
