So…. yesterday, we left Grand Rapids. We were heading for Chicago, and I turned to John and said “hey, how about we go to Indianapolis instead?”
OK, now, before you Chicagoans think I’m dissing you, I wanted to meet my friend Cathouse Blues, who I’ve known for about 5 years through LiveJournal, but have never met. I’ve wanted to meet her, I’ve intended to meet her, but my path does not often pass through Indianapolis. And, let’s face it, I go through Chicago at least once every 10 years or so. 😉
Anyway, we arrived at 7:00 last night and are staying at the State Fairgrounds, in the middle of town. This works out well, as Cathouse Blues and her husband live about 10 minutes away, near the racetrack. Had dinner with them last night– lovely! As wonderful in person as they are online!
We’ll be leaving tomorrow to head towards St. Louis, where we’ll either stay 1 night or maybe 2, depending on how many of the St. Louis folks are up for visitin’!
