Remember the rat race? For a few years, my life consisted of waking up in the morning, meeting my husband at a coffee shop for a latte and muffin, then driving for an hour in challenging, frustrating Bay Area traffic, hoping that this would not be the day my car was totaled by some jerk juggling a coffee mug, cell phone, and electric razor while driving an enormous SUV or shiny pickup truck. Today, I work from home.

Diesel is very close to $5/gallon right now. By the time we fuel up next time, it will probably be well over $5/gallon. Our motorhome takes diesel fuel and has a 100 gallon tank. It gets, on average, about 8 miles to the gallon.

As it turns out, the satellite we normally connect with (Galaxy 26) has moved out of is orbital position. One of the solar power panels failed, and the satellite has shifted. Our satellite Internet service provider, MobileSat, contacted us last week to let us know about the disruption in service.
