Last night I taught myself how to needle tat and shuttle tat (and eventually finger tat, which is a lot like shuttle tatting, but without the shuttle). I made this little piece of lace. It’s about 3 inches across, and is a cute peach color. Very pretty!
Now I believe it. Great job. How did you learn, was it a book or a website?
I learned from 2 books and a few websites, particularly Bella Online, which is terrific. There’s also a local bead shop down here where the owner is a tatter, so she was helpful in getting me started.

That is pretty! I needle tat too! I had a great Aunt try to teach me the shuttle method but I never was able to pick it up. I took to the needle tatting right away. It’s been awhile for me, huh, where are my needles… So what are you going to do with your tatting now?
