Another Toastmasters speech– this one is from today’s meeting; I’m working on two advanced manuals right now– “The Entertaining Speaker” and “Interpretive Reading.” This one is the first Interpretive Reading speech.
The story I’m reading here is “Thank You, M’am” by Langston Hughes, a wonderful short story which reads easily out loud. I really enjoyed doing this speech, even though I wish I had been better prepared for it.
Have enjoyed showing your video of \Thank You M’am\ to classes in the past when we’ve read the story in 8th Grade English class. I couldn’t figure out how to launch the video this time–Any pointers? Is it removed for copyright reasons?
