John and I brought home “Sarah Silverman – Jesus is Magic” (Liam Lynch)
DVD (his pick) and “The Producers (Widescreen Edition)” (Susan Stroman)
(DVD, remake, my pick).
At his request, I put on the Sarah Silverman DVD. Dear god, can I get a refund on the last hour of my life? Seriously, what dreck. John seems to think she’s (a) funny, and (b) hot. I can’t really comment on (b), because she annoys me so frickin’ much, I can’t figure out why he thinks (a).
Silverman describes herself as “sassy.” I would go more with “self-obsessed, egotistical, annoying, and annoying.” Oh, wait, I used annoying twice. I don’t know– she grates on my nerves and thinks rape jokes are funny. I guess I just don’t get it.
On the other hand, I like Pauly Shore, for absolutely no discernible reason, other than I find him funny and talented. So I guess I can’t diss John too much for his preference.
But still. I’m going to be out of the house tomorrow for at least two hours, doing dog walks. He couldn’t watch this tramp then and watch The Producers tonight, a movie I know we can both enjoy?
