OK, that’s a fannish joke.
Anyway, John and I finally watched Serenity tonight, me curled on the sofa with a heating pad and ibuprofen, and both of us fighting over who gets the blanket, and who gets the cat (I got both, but I shared).
Went to the discount pet store and bought a harness (click to see the exact one we got), leash, collar, and bunches of treats for Alladin. Nice n’ inexpensive. Came home and put the collar on him– fits, good. Put the harness on him…. uh oh. Seems my pudgy little guy needs an extra inch or two around the middle. Ahem. The back loop (it’s an “H” style) is 17″ long, so I think he needs an adjustable one that goes up to 20″.
At least the collar fit. And I used the harness on him for about half an hour and took him for a walk around the house before removing it. We already had a thin braided “rope” style harness and lead, but I wanted him to be able to wear just the harness without the leash around the house, so he could get used to it.
Anyway, he’s now wearing a collar again– next step is a tag for it.
