I haven’t voted yet, but I did go and help open the precinct I was supposed to be an inspector at. Boy, they have a lot of confusion going for them today! Two precincts in one room, plus another double precinct in a building across the parking lot, and the double across the lot contains a precinct that used to vote in our room, but doesn’t now! Eep!
Anyway, I got them opened and then came home to rest. When I got home ,the power was out again, so I took a hot shower and went straight to bed. Hey, I didn’t even have to ignore campaign calls or anything.
In a little while, I’m going out to meet a friend for coffee and tea– haven’t seen her in 3 weeks, and I miss her. On the way home, I’ll stop at my actual polling site and cast my ballot.
Remember everyone: Go vote! Federal law permits you to take 2 hours off of work in order to vote, so get out and do it!
