Fish tanks and rain

I just cleaned all the fishtanks. It took a couple of hours, I think. I’m going to need to change and maybe shower before heading over the hill this afternoon. Actually, I need to eat lunch, too.

I got the costume half-assembled yesterday with the help of a friend of mine who didn’t flunk geometry (yes, geometry was required for my Halloween costume).

I left the half-assembled pieces outside to dry overnight, and then worked on them more this morning, left them out to dry.

And I should have taken my fish Hansel’s warning seriously. I mean, a betta whose water needs changing who blows a bubble nest is telling you something. He’s saying: mating season is about to start!

Sure enough, I just had to run outside while writing this to take in my costume pieces, because the first raindrops of the season have begun to fall.

*mph*

First they came for the fourth amendment,
and I did not speak out, because I didn’t deal drugs.
Then they came for the fifth amendment,
and I was silent because I owned no property involved in crimes.
Then they came for the sixth amendment,
and I did not protest because I was innocent.
Then they came for the second amendment,
and I said nothing because I didn’t own a gun.
And then they came for the first amendment,
and I could say nothing at all.
