My back hurts. It hurt yesterday, too. I have a shitload of stuff to do, but all I can think is “My back hurts.”
I’m tired, and have been for 2 days. I’m tired and my back aches. I’ll bet these two phenomena are related.
I don’t understand source control software at all, and the online help was obviously written by people who do. So, for instance, it says “you can check out stuff, and check it back in again.” No where does it actually tell you *how* to check it back in, and there’s no handly little “check in” button or menu option to click. Searching the online help didn’t help, either.
This source control stuff is also crucial to the current project, and everyone assumes it’s intuitive.It’s the least intuitive piece of crap I’ve seen since vi. I learned vi eventually, so I’m sure I can learn this, but it’s painful and slow and I want to just get someone to show me how to do it.
It doesn’t help that I’ve never been able to get source control software to work.I mean, it should be easy,right? I get why one needs it and the core concept, but when I try to use it– it’s all shite.
Things that made me happy today: Finished reading a book before 9 AM. Wil Wheaton was also terrified of Poltergeist as a child. And Infocom is interested in an article I pitched to them.
