Inspiration struck last week, and I now have an idea for a new novel to write.

My current fiction works in progress list:
Tricker Treats: modern-day sci fi thriller [being converted into a graphic novel, set in the 1950's. Story is complete]
An Eye for an Eye: Sci fi legal drama [Story is complete, but needs editing.]
Pinch Me, I’m Awake: contemporary fantasy [Story is about 50% done.]
The Witch of Alimath Valley: fantasy novel [Story is aboiut 40% done.]
How Do You Spell USA?: Political satire [about 66% done]
The Griselde Story: contemporary “chick lit” [outlined, but otherwise not started.]
The Haunted Novelist: comtemporary ghost story [outlined, but otherwise not started.]

Hm. I should really spend more time on my unprofitable fiction….

John and I went backpacking this weekend. 5 miles each way, not too steep. It was okay, but it was clear again by the end of the day that I was done. However, on Day 2, I felt better than I did on Day 2 in previous weekend trips. My hip hurt a lot on Day 1, which was mostly uphill, but Day 2 was a lot better and the majority of pain was in my feet, which were dog-tired sore during the 1/2 mile hike back to the car from the trailhead.
