I need the headdesk icon.

Today has been a very headdesk day.

ONE thing went right today so far. Well, kinda two. But ONE thing that I really needed to go right– the bank reversed the overdraft charges for an account that wasn’t overdrawn when I checked it, and had enough to cover the things that were going into it.

I am moving all my servers to Dreamhost. No, John and I are not breaking up– it’s just easier to access, and John won’t have to headache over my server stuff anymore. I will probably have to learn PHP, though.

Moving servers is a very head-desk-able experience. In general, it went OK, better than I would expect. In specific, however, there were issues that cropped up which I haven’t solved yet.

I will also be moving scottrell.com off of actionweb.com. I cannot speak highly enough about this web company– they are very very good. Customer service is top-notch, FAST, and personal. I’ve never had an issue with them that didn’t get resolved in hours with a personal email. To be honest, I am only leaving to consolidate and reduce my web hosting bills. I’ve been with actionweb for years. Customer service is worth a lot to me.

My telephones at home have crackling noises in them.

My cell phone dropped several calls today, including one that I’d waited 40 minutes to talk to a human being.

I wanted to cry in frustration several times today over the various phone/internet/accounting problems I’ve run into. Most of my phone calls today were to sort out accounting problems– first with my W-2 (still not solved), then the overdraft issue. Nothing worse than trying to solve a problem and getting absolutely nowhere because you can’t actually maintain a telephone conversation.

I’m going to yoga tonight. Even if it kills me.

PS: John and I went bowling last night. That was fun.
