On April Fool’s Day

Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day.

This week, I have been very angry about a lot of things. This suggests to me that practical jokes on April 1 will not go over well for me, and also that I should probably not play any, since they’re bound to be mean-spirited.

So instead, John and I are going camping.

I have become very disenchanted with this over recent years as whimsy has given way to meanness and (in extreme cases) positive torture.

Count me in with the “I can’t stand April Fools Day” crowd. Camping sounds like a nice idea.

April Fool’s Day makes me nervous. As if I need another reason to be nervous. I’m with you on that. Camping’s not for me tho. I wish I could go skiing then.

I’ve never played an april fool’s day joke. I’m just not good at it or something.

I convinced my children that it snowed in Cameron and we were going to go play in it in the afternoon. They believed me. When we arrived in Cameron….I said April Fool…
I also called DAd and told him we got over a foot of snow here in MO and he bought it…Kim didn’t but I told him April Fool…So…I got five people on April Fools day…but they weren’t mean spirited. They were fun spirited.
