I am going to Las Vegas, for the STC Conference. I debated with myself over this a LOT, but finally decided it was worth the cost, especially when I got a super-cheap rate on my hotel stay at the Riviera ($30/night, vs. $169 at Bally’s). The conference is at Bally’s, so I will have to take the monorail every morning to the conference and back again at night.

The soup was OK last night. John thought the veggies needed more cooking (I put them in raw, contrary to much advice, but I was not longer up to cooking over a stove at that point). The veggies went in about four hours before serving, and I thought they were fine.

It wasn’t “oh wow!” soup. But it was OK. I stuck it in the fridge last night– we’ll see how it is this morning.
