Some stuff.

I am behind on my word count. No, really! I am! But not by a whole lot, and I could maybe make it up today.
I skipped piano last night, went home, and mooched around on the couch knitting and watching TV and feeling sick all night. I more than doubled the length of my sparkly scarf. I had pizza for dinner. Food is really blah right now cause I have no nose and cannot scream.
Sometime in the middle of the night, I got up because I was coughing too much. I took chloraseptic and NyQuil and went back to bed. The moon was so bright, I thought we’d left a light on in the hallway. We have skylights all over the house.
This morning, I was feeling a bit better. Took DayQuil. My nose is less congested today. That is a very good thing. My voice is still rough, though.
Johnny is “concerned” about me offering to host JaNoWriMo. Let me be clear on this: I will be a community maintainer, coordinator, cheerleader, coach, but only partial participant. I have another book to write, and I need to meet all my deadlines. Me offering to host JaNoWriMo is basically because I have too many friends saying “I want to NaNo, but November sucks!” And I know that those folks could do it in January if they had a ML-like organizer cheering them on.
The fish are doing well. I cleaned Zoot’s tank the other day after the death of Dr. Teeth. In cleaning his tank, I split the anubias plant in two and re-planted it in the gravel substrate. It looks like it’s doing well. The Java fern still has sproutlings. I’m amused and impressed. Apparently the secret to me being able to grow plants is to submerge them in water.
Alladin continues to be adorable, if a bit, um, mischevious. I swear, if that cat had opposable thumbs, he’d take over the world. I need some good toy ideas for a cat who has a high prey drive, a love of all things string-like, and a bizarre penchant for playing fetch.
