Weaving!

I think I mentioned here that I learned how to do card weaving a week ago. Yesterday, I went to an SCA arts & crafts event (ok, arts & sciences…. but who are we kidding?) and there was a double session on tablet weaving. Here’s a picture of the project I worked on yesterday:

Also at the event, I went to a couple of calligraphy and illumination workshops and a hat-making lesson, which was really kind of cool and gave me many ideas for continuing my reign as the “Hat Lady.”
Also, my LJ Support Sekrit Bunneh (it’s like Secret Santa) gave me The Time Traveler’s Wife, which some of you may remember me wanting for Christmas last year. I started reading it last night, though I don’t know if I’ll have time to finish it before the end of this year. Nonetheless: thank you, sekrit support bunneh!
