This book is great.

The Urchin of the Riding Stars by M.I. McAllister. I’m only 32 minutes into it, but wow, it’s so adorable. Talking squirrels, hedgehog kings, otter sailors… how can you go wrong?

Anyway, that’s my book recommendation this week. That and Paladin of Souls, by Lois McMaster Bujold, the sequel to The Curse of Chalion. What’s great about Paladin is that the protagonist is a middle-aged woman with a lot of very common “stage of life” issues to work through, and that’s BEFORE her big adventure occurs. Lurve lurve lurve.

*grrrr*

I really HATE it when someone feels it necessary to get really heated and nasty just because they cannot allow me to have the last word in an argument.

Mmm…. yarn

I spun some yarn this week. It’s from Mom’s sheep. It’s pretty, though not always very soft, on account of quite a bit of vegetable matter (straw and stuff). I got a lot of good practice out of making this yarn, though.
