My vlog feed works! It sends enclosures now. This means that if you have an RSS reader that supports video (like iTunes) you can add my vlog feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/mortaine) to your Podcasts and have them auto-update and auto-download the most recent video! EEEEeeeee!!!!
As of this morning, when I just Could Not Take It anymore, I declared this to be a politics-free weekend. I can already feel my stress levels lowering….

My linux server hasn’t been turned on in about 4 months, but last night I wanted to use a song on it for the vlog. I plugged the server in and turned it on, waited, and then had the mac connect to it via samba. Sometimes, this doesn’t work, because the linux box will do something (I don’t know what– there hasn’t been a monitor plugged into it in about 8 months), and samba won’t start.
Lo and behold, it worked! I’m so pleased when technology does what I want it to.
In the “Troubleshoot my vlog feed” to-do item, I emailed FeedBurner about it and got back a reply in 8 minutes. Not bad, especially for a holiday weekend.
