Un-freaking-believable

Months ago, one of the screws for the AirPort access panel on the back of my laptop went missing. I checked inside my bag, but not finding it there, I decided it probably fell out in one of the many places I have used my laptop. I thought nothing further of it, except maybe that someday I ought to replace it, if I have the oppoertunity.
Today, I was trying to insert a CD of backup data into my drive and it wouldn’t go. At first, I thought maybe I’d left a CD in there, and I tried repeatedly to get it to eject. No dice. I even found the CD I’d thought I’d left. So I keep trying to fit it in, but it won’t go. Like it’s jammed. I pull it out and take a look. What do you know, there’s a tiny screw wedged inside the CD-ROM drive. I get out some needle-node pliers and carefully pull it out so as not to have it fall back inside, stunned that this tiny screw has probably been inside my laptop all this time (I’m betting on it not being from the inside of the laptop… please, please, please). Put it in the access panel, and voila! Just like new!
