I still have to decide if I’m going to do a separate book for Doris, the Ecuadorean girl I sponsored before Zuonogo (Doris family graduated from the program and became self-sufficient), or if I want to make pages for her and put them into the same book with Zuonogo. Most of my pages for either girl are letters or annual reports from the field. I’ve only sponsored girls so far– they have a lot harder lives than boys, in general.
Yesterday, John and I went down to Capitola for some shopping, and I ended up getting my ring cleaned at the mall– yay! Back in February, I noticed a black mark on my wedding ring, on either side of the diamonds, and it really bothered me. It’s nice to have my ring all sparkly again.
Apparently, I cannot post more than 2 paragraphs of text to my lj. I have no idea why. There are no server issues known, and I can’t think of any reason this would be the case with LJ and no other server in the world.
*sigh* Sometimes, I hate the internet.
This weekend, John and I pretty much finished cleaning the old house (yay!) I picked up the yard a bit, and spent quite a bit of time on my scrapbooks. I did the layouts for the junior high school years, and I finished writing the journal entry for Holly’s pages. Actually, it was kind of neat– for one of the jr. high entries, I wrote a confession about something I did to a friend which made me lose her friendship, and how much I’ve regretted that day.
I also worked on the scrapbook for Zuonogo (an African girl who I sponsor– see, I don’t really hate all children….) and got all the letters pasted in. I have a couple more pages to do– the title page and a page about her family and one about Burkina Faso (where she lives). But otherwise, that book is about done.
