This morning’s radio local news (which didn’t even make it to their website, bastards) mentioned a driveby shooting in San Francisco, in which some people (I think they said teens or young men– big surprise) shot several homeless people with a bb gun. Some of the homeless people were wounded in the shootings, and police are looking for a blue Lexus or Crown Victoria.
I really wish that the only people who could have the kind of money that gets you a Lexus would be the kind of people who have more self-respect than to find shooting at homeless people at all rewarding. I mean, come on. What kind of karmic sludge are you in if this is what you consider a worthwhile way to spend your time? Jesus fucking Christ– get a hobby or take up pot or something. Holy fuck.
Anyway, on to the irony….
“This news section sponsored by Lexus of Stevens Creek….”
Holy. Fuck.
I lost 2.6 lbs. this week. Go me! I also ate 29 servings of fruits and vegetables this week. GO ME!
The house listing is going well. We’ve had many people look at it. Yesterday, we removed the laser printer and table. Tonight we might vacuum and carpet clean.
I forgot to bring the things I was supposed to bring to return to the Container Store. Doh.
Tomorrow is tax day. John finished our taxes last night. The annual government ass-raping has begun.
I have a special rant for my mother in law today, but I’ll hold onto it for special safekeeping (and possibly for posting to instead of here).
The Ph of the water in Milpitas suddenly jumped from 6.6-6.8 to 7.2 this week. I don’t know if it was high last week, too. My betta has lived in 6.6-6.8 Ph water for almost a year. I hope the change in Ph doesn’t shock him into sickness. He looks okay today, though.
Busy weekend ahead.
I got my iPod out of the bag it was packed in and charged/updated it last night. Yay! Audiobooks in the car again! I’m going to buy a new FM transmitter today after work, I think, since the one I have is such crap.
Edit: I forgot to add: last night’s scrapbooking class was cancelled due to a town meeting in the location. So I pulled out the scrapbook my sister’s been making for me and fixed a couple of pages (some of the pictures came loose during mailing) and added calligraphy text to the pages she sent me of herself. I have discovered that my scrapbook has too many pages now, and I need to get more of the little extenders for the binding. Also, my sister needs to tell me what “system” she uses so I can buy her cool things to cut stuff.
