I have a lot of family in the military, including a cousin who’s prepping to get deployed that way soon, and it hurts me so much when people talk about them as though they’re not human in any way. Even though I might disagree with what they do, they’re still good people, and it hurts me so much when people lose sight of that.

Nice pictures - I would point out that the kitty soldier is an Israeli, but the other pictures on the link are US soldiers.
It is always refreshing to see soldiers portrayed as normal people doing a tough job, and not some amorphous number of casualties or occupiers.
