Do you spin, or want to, and live in Santa Cruz?
Anyone local spin yarn or want to?
Well, there are now two of us on a Yahoo! group–SantaCruzSpins; come join it. Maybe we can arrange some spin-ins and/or gatherings!

I have a couple friends who spin. One up around Mountain View (I think) and the other is in the Saratoga hills. I’ll try to pass it on. I don’t think any of the ladies at my knitting groups spin, yet, but I believe some are interested.

My mom used to spin and weave (she has her own loom), back in the 70s. At that time there was a weaver’s guild here in Santa Clara County. Ahh, the 70s.
Good luck with your endeavor!

There are still some spinning and weaving guilds around California. These two lists seem to be similar, listing various mailing addresses for local guilds.
There are also Santa Cruz Hand Weavers and Fiber Artisans in San Jose, for a couple of examples. fyi.
