Home

I’m home now. I won’t be able to read everyone’s entries, so comment if there’s something you want me to know.

Here’s my weekend:

Drove up Friday night through nasty traffic. Went to a couple of geocaches on the way. Had to skip one because it was waaay too public to grab without being seen. I should note: I placed and submitted my first cache Friday morning.

Saturday, I read Wicked, took a nap, spun yarn, and had hot cocoa waiting for John when he got back to the cabin at about 4:00. Saturday evening was pizza at the clubhouse at the resort, and I brought my spinning with me. John commented that, wouldn’t I want to be social, but I knew what I was doing. I got to talk to women all night long about spinning yarn. Hah ha!

Sunday was a lot like Saturday– read, napped, spun. Except that I finished my book, finished my yarn (I got to the plying stage by 6:30), and John was still not back at 6:30. One of the other wives came by with her baby and we went out for a decent dinner with crappy service in town. Then back to the cabins to decide if we should start calling Search and Rescue– it was 9:30. Fortunately, the first of the club members pulled up at that point, so we went back to our cabins. I’d gotten John a to-go order, figuring if he had eaten without calling being so late, he would be in trouble, and if he hadn’t eaten, he would be hungry, He was hungry. Good boy. ;)
Today, we had breakfast in town and then hit the road, stopping at a letterbox and a bunch of geocaches on the way.

All weekend, my skin has been itching, and the rash has just spread and spread and spread. It’s everywhere. I can’t stop it from spreading. Ugh. That’s been the only real downside this weekend– itchy itchy itch!

Oh, and I weighed the yarn when we got home– 1.4 ounces of green-and-brown blended goodness!
