BJ-Day fun!

is the journal for leaving your Valentine’s messages for other LJ users.

O.M.G.

So, my high school friend Karen just mass-mailed a bunch of people, and didn’t use the BCC: header. Which means the high school boyfriend who broke my heart (as opposed to the one with whom I am still friends) now has my email address.

BUT: SHE KNOWS SARAH HAYFORD!!! OMG! I’ve been trying to reach Sarah for years, but never had her contact info. OMG!!!

Since I don’t know if she wants to hear from me, I’m going to email Karen and ask her to forward a message on.

I think I’m just about going to cry with the happy. Last year LaMaia found me and through Karen and other friends, I reconnected with Amanda. This year…. Sarah? *sob*

I talk about a lot of nothing in my journal

Today, I downloaded my journal backups and kind of scanned through the past entries.

I talk about a whole lot of nothing in my journal. When I’m not talking about nothing, I’m posting about some big project, bitching about stinky stuff at work, logging my workouts, or posting lame-assed memes.

I have removed all memes and to-do lists from the first 3 years of my journal, as well as all PSAs that are no longer current. Didn’t to January, but did do the last 3 years.

Anyway– it was nice to get a backup, at least.

Regained glory

Interim privs return!

Allegro now

Allegro caught the cold. I had John separate the kitties today so he could get a full day’s rest without Alladin pouncing on him. I came home and he had… stuff (drool, snot, whatever) all down his front, poor baby.

We’d planned to go out for dinner, so we did. After we sat down, I asked John about taking Allegro to the vet tomorrow, realized I could still call the vet and make an appointment (it was 6:40, and they close at 7). Got them on the phone, explained the situation, and they agreed to let me pickup the antibiotics tonight. Allegro’s 13, so I knew we’d want to put him on them right away if the cold manifested as anything more than sneezing, and I guess the vet agreed. Yay!

So, I ditched John at the restaurant, hauled ass to the vet’s office, picked up the medicine, hauled ass back to the restaurant, ate dinner in record time, and went home. Gave Allegro the meds and promptly spilled some as I was trying to refill the dropper. Damn. I’m not sure if there’s going to be enough for his second dose in 3 days– I’ll do him in the morning and, if not, make a quick run to the vet’s for a refill.

Yes, I am the kind of crazy cat lady that vets would rather not see at 7:45 in the morning….
