Alladin has bonded with me. Yesterday he was a sleepy kitty when Chris and Laura were over (they were sleepy, too). Anyway, when we were hanging out in the living room, Alladin came in and slept on the kitty perch in there. After they left, I went into my office to work on the computer. He actually got his sleepy kitty self up and came in to curl up on the other chair in my office. He followed me around! It was so cute!
I had previously stated that I couldn’t stand Barbara Boxer because she is on the wrong side of the Flag Burning amendment issue.
I have since realized that I had my female congresswomen mixed up, and it is Dianne Feinstein who holds this hypocritical view. Boxer voted against the amendment.
I’m still going to check on her other issues– she did vote in favor of reduced wire-tapping restrictions, but that might have been part of the Patriot Act fiasco (I hold no one responsible for their votes on the Patriot Act– no one should be asked to commit political suicide like that, and I think all the Dems who voted for it did so because they seriously figured that, at the very least, it would be temporary, and that a temporary declaration of even martial law at that point would be OK).
Anyway, so consider this my formal declaration of “Boxer isn’t a bonehead.” But Feinstein still is.
