Mmm…. tasty fiction!

I have started reading ’s novel, Mitos (it has a longer name, but I swear I am *that bad* at Spanish).
Those of you who know her or who have heard her read or have heard me talk about her writing, already know that is an amazing writer. I’ve read a lot of works-in-progress in the last year as part of a critique group. I’ve read a lot of work from writers who are aspiring but are just not quite “there,” not quite at that level of professional prose that makes a good book. Most writers believe they are “there” quite a while before they get “there,” probably because a lot of published books aren’t actually any good.
is not one of these. I am sure sometimes she doubts she is “there,” but she is. Absolutely, unequivocally. She’s got that thing, that quality that you need to write really outstanding and amazing fiction. Reading Mitos is like when you were a kid reading your favorite fairy tale, only Mitos is much more mature, much more grown up, much more truthful. Yes, it’s fiction, but fiction is truth above fact, and that is what writes.
Anyway, when the book gets published, I hope she’ll permit me to pimp it heavily here, because you guys are gonna LOVE this book.
