“My career in public art is over,” said the artist, who has created murals at Valley Medical Center in San Jose, the Water and Sewer Administration in Sacramento and Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.
I hope she never sells another piece again. Or that she changes her mind and realizes that the only way to get another gig is to actually act like a professional and fix her own mistake, without charging extra. And yes, she could just say “I’m sorry, I’ll fix it.” and I know I would be willing to let it slide. But nope. Defensive, blame-passing, arrogant… everything except professional.
She deserves to never work as a public artist again.
