I am so incredibly tired right now. I’ve had 6 hours of sleep a night for the last 2 nights, and not much before then, either. I’m not the kind of person who does real well on less than 8 1/2 hours, so… yeah.
STC meeting tonight. Totally unprepared. I suck.
I’m really burned out on TNT right now, and worried about training (or lack thereof for the last ~2 weeks), and fundraising ($500 short and the deadline is 2 weeks away). Generally, I want to spend my time on ANYTHING ELSE right now. So I have been, which is, paradoxically, making me worry and stress even more about TNT. Sigh.
Worked more on getting my Clie to sync some cool things, like photos and Avantgo last night. Neither of which particularly worked. I desperately need to find my Clie CD-ROM, so I can restore all the original Clie programs and libraries. I’m obviously missing a few. Whoops. Oh, and Sony doesn’t make this stuff available for general download– you have to have the CD-ROM, and TS if you lost it. I really hate it when hardware manufacturers think their drivers are so special that you have to have a physical copy. C’mon, people– isn’t the presence of the hardware enough?
Also, you can no longer just download the Avantgo Palm app; you have to install it through the desktop, which means OSX users, who can sync via Missing Sync, need to have some other way to get the program onto their PDAs.
Um. Did I mention I’m tired? I am. I’m also running low on the ribbon I was using to make a shawl (crochet); I may need to buy a second roll to finish the shawl. We’ll see. I think I originally intended this to be a small shawl/wrap, but I’m now thinking it would look great as a butt-length shawl, rather than a mini-capelet.
I yelled at John this morning because I wasn’t ready when he was. How stupid is that? It’s not his fault that I was still naked at 7:40 this morning.
Oh, and my dental appointment yesterday was horrid. It took an hour and a half for me to get through gridlock all the way over 17 and into Soquel (Hwy 17 was shut down because of a car fire, so it was blocked up, even though it was 3 in the afternoon). And then it was an hour and a half of scaling and prying the calcification off of my teeth, and being lectured for not flossing. I swear, why can’t the hygienist just say “FLOSS OR DIE!” once in a really stern German accent and then be done with it? *sigh* I explained that I could commit to flossing after the marathon– but not before. She’s a former TNT-triathlete, so she kind of understood. She’s also preggers, and she appreciated the story about ’s second delivery, where she trained for it like one would for an athletic event, etc.; I think Liz the Hygienist is going to consider that attitude for her upcoming event as well.
One of these days, I’ll be able to commit to writing something actually interesting at least once a week. But not until after the marathon.
