New friends

I was checking my friends list and noticed that, being a bonehead, I had never friended back, apparently. And I also saw a new person in my friend-of list, , whose journal I checked out and, hey, correct grammar and spelling and a lack of idiocy (my standards aren’t very high, but they do rule out the majority of LJ users). Welcome, both of you, to the nuttiness. I know how Bob found me, but Lunza, if you feel like speaking up– where’d you come from?

There are a couple of other folks on my Friends-of list who I don’t plan to add back, like the serialadder who isn’t cute, and an Indian information site (um….?) who I welcome to read my journal, if you get anything entertaining from the experience, but who I’m not especially interested in reading.

Oh, and : I wrote up a long comment to reply to your question earlier, but had to save it to my hard drive (which is at home, of course), so I’ll post it (and the post about Harry Potter I wrote this morning) when I get home late tonight. Maybe– my father in law will be here this evening, so I may be ignoring the Internet. However, the icon site is here (thanks to for pointing me to the link).

June 2004: Book Reviews

You’re not missing May! I didn’t review any books in May, 2004.

This is an archive of my shorter book reviews and notes, which historically have been posted over at the 50 Book Challenge on LiveJournal, but which I’m starting to move over here. I’m posting them with altered date-stamps, but they might show up in my LiveJournal cross-post anyway. Bear with me, please.

Note: Many of these books also have full reviews available in the book review podcast (RSS).
