i just called my mother to remind her to lower the flag to half-mast, due to Reagan’s death.
I did not like him as a president, and I thought he was terrible for the country. However, he was a president, and it is sad what his final days were. We lower the flag out of respect for the office, or, barring that (given how little respect the office currently holds), for the flag itself and for our fellow citizens, many of whom did like him and thought he was good for the country.
