Good friends tell you when other people are gossiping about you, good bad or (in this case) somewhat ambiguous.

I don’t remember even a fraction of this dream that disturbed me so much. The prevailing images, though, were that I was in a house with a baby and running a D&D game. The baby was old enough to know when she was being ignored, and strange enough not to cry for attention. At various points I forgot about the baby. For instance, I went upstairs at one point and thought “oh, yeah. There’s a baby up here. I should change her.” And proceeded to try and find diapers (there were no diapers to be found). I could not find the changing table, either. At this point, baby was clingy and holding onto me, so I set her in the playroom/bedroom and told her to “hang on a minute while I find your diapers.” I then wandered all over the house looking for diapers before getting distracted by the game. After a while (probably like 2 hours or so), I remembered the baby and felt really bad, really guilty. I went upstairs to the playroom and couldn’t find the baby. The air filter was too loud and it wouldn’t turn off, and eventually she whimpered enough and I found her under a pile of stuffed animals. I felt horrible, especially because she (wisely) would no longer have anything to do with me and had kind of folded in on herself and shrunk down.
Yes, the above dream is why I do not have and never plan on having any children. Because it is entirely plausible that I would forget a baby and go back to my D&D game.
