What’ya mean it’s not naptime yet?

I am so ready to sleep. I can barely keep my eyes open, and they sting a little bit, I think.

The earliest I can bail from here is 5:00, and even that is pushing it. And I have to be in Santa Cruz at 7.

2 1/2 hours. Can I make it? If I do, can I make it home without falling asleep at the wheel? Can I make it through my training session tonight?

Sigh. I want sleep, dammit. Sleep!

Edit: I got this in my email just now (audio warning). He’s so sweet.

Catch-up

Friday afternoon I went home early and slept for about 3 hours.

Saturday afternoon I slept for about 4 hours. I cancelled the game this weekend– too sick to have people over.

Sunday morning I went back to bed at 11 and slept for about 4 hours.

Each evening, I’ve had a little trouble getting to sleep, but ended up sleeping for 7-8 hours a night.

I am still congested, but not as bad as last week. My throat doesn’t hurt so much anymore, and I think I might have had a fever that broke yesterday. Bad news: my left eye is doing that twitching thing it does when I’m really exhausted.

I have Elections training tonight, 7-9ish. Eep. The election is next Tuesday– I’m going to have to ask for the time off, unpaid, since I have all of 8 hours of PTO saved up, and used 14 hours last week. Mrph!

Doctor’s appointment (for SCUBA) is next Wednesday. I hope I’m healthy for it.

I weighed in on Saturday morning at the Weight Watchers in Capitola. I lost another pouind-and-change for a total of 20.4 lbs. I’m starting to plan a clothes-shopping trip, as I’m pretty sure I’ve dropped at least one, if not two sizes, and am ready to get out of my baggy pants! The beige ones are the worst culprit, but my blue pants are also way oversized.

I really want to get better, like, today. I don’t want to stay sick for weeks and weeks and weeks.
