Friday Five

What one thing are you most looking forward to . . .

1. …today? Well, selling my car and having a hot shower, both of which I have now done.

2. …over the next week? Going to Las Vegas!

3. …this year? Accomplishing some of my goals, including weight loss.

4. …over the next five years? Being in a happy, stable married relationship.

5. …for the rest of your life? See #4. Also, living a long, long life, staying sharp to the end, and not dying of cancer.

Stuff

I watched Rosemary’s Baby yesterday. Eep. Had nightmares about it, of course.

All night, I was feeling kind of “snacky” without any real sense of what I wanted. John went to bed at about 8:00, he was so tired, but I stayed up. After a while, I realized that what I really wanted was the chocolate in the other room– and the last bit of red wine on the counter. So I had a piece of dark, rich chocolate, and about 3 ounces of good cabernet.

Hmmm…. antioxidant craving, anyone?

Am at work today. Drove the minivan here so I can transfer it to Inga at lunchtime (yay! car sale!)

I have not had a hot shower since Tuesday. I think I’ll go do that now (thank goodness for showers at work!)

Boss #2 is out with a cold today, which means I’m basically on my own. Wonder what I’ll do once I’m done with the stuff I had to do from Wednesday….. Ah, well. I brought a book today.

Oh, and I did spend 15 minutes this morning on the dragon for Austin. Go me!

I think I’ve got about an hour left on the dragon part (just the gold on the tail, then two touch-ups in green cotton to do), and then I can do his name, which should take about 2-3 hours (which is, what, 10 days or so if I spend 15 minutes a day on it?)

I ordered a couple of projects from nordicneedle.com, which was having a sale. I got one that’s a Shakespeare profile. I already have a pattern for Shakespeare’s house– I’m thinking of combining them into a piece for Inga, perhaps– I think she’d dig that. :)
