Wooot! Loot! ;D

Merry Christmas!!!!

We started out with our Christmas stockings. I got John stuff from Cost Plus World Market, mostly. He got me game dice (eee!), a new card game, a gaming miniature, some candy (but not much), and travel toiletries and booze (yes, really).

I was so impressed that he’d filled my stocking with gamer toys. I didn’t expect that, since he doesn’t like gaming. Really– that was so sweet of him.

The under-tree haul:

A Monopoly set from Carl, who was horrified to learn I didn’t have one (as I’m sure would be)
A painted egg from Bob and Casey (pretty clutter)
A talking picture frame from my sister and her kids; Austin recorded a Christmas greeting. I cried, it was so sweet.
A rose pin, also from Jenny and Jason
Vanilla candles from and his lady (thank you!)
A Circuit City gift card from Mom– I had to check the website to find out how much it was; it’s definitely going to help towards the iPod fund!
Final Fantasy X-2 from John (eee!!!!), and a game book for incorporating pirates into the game! Eeeee!!!!

For John, I got three video games (Grand Theft Auto III and GTA Vice City and Simpsons: Hit and Run). His family doesn’t do Christmas the way mine does– theirs is all for the kids, really. :) He also got a novelty keychain from and a goretex hat that he really likes (he’s been wanting a new hat for winter camping).

All in all, a nice haul. ;) And, we got to spend some quality time visiting with friends last night as well.

Christmas present

I posted here about the turtle hat I made for John’s mother this year. Thank you, for the pattern! I can return it to you when I see you next.
