On urban legends

Today I learned, not unexpectedly, that an accident that happened to one of my friends in college has become a UC Santa Cruz urban legend. Sure, her gender, motivation, mental state, and what actually *happened* have all changed, but the core of the story is still there (shrooms and someone falling off/out of the B dormitory).
I wonder how soon it’ll be before they’ll decide the dorm is haunted by her (well, his, since the urban legend has it as a guy) ghost.
