I got the first DING in Kirei today!
My own stupid fucking fault. I was turning into the parking spot at work and scraped the front driver’s side bumper against the curb.
Goddamnit.
That, plus the scratch on the driver’s side window, plus the new grinding noise when retracting the navigation screen, mean one hefty trip to the dealer for fixes.
New journal

I’ve set up a journal for logging my piano practice times, days, etc. The music lab requirements are that I log 12 hours over the course of the semester. It’s easier if I log them on campus, but since that’s not going to happen, I’m logging them over at instead, and will print out my journal when it’s due (on each of the three performance tests, the first of which is on October 8).
Anyway, if you’re interested in reading my practice log and thoughts about learning a new instrument, feel free to watch that journal. I set it up as a comm so I can post directly to it, but I’m not inviting anyone else to join it, and I’m not turning on commenting, because I need to turn this in to my instructor. If you feel like commenting on something I wrote there, just do so in my main journal over here somewhere.
