This could have been a journal entry from almost any day that I taught at SJSU.

I love the in-classroom work, but the papers– oh, dear lord, the papers….

Fees increased. By a lot.

My Mission College tuition went up by $10.50, after I had paid for the semester. That’s for 1.5 units– full-time students take 12 units, minimum, so this is a pretty big increase.

I feel this is illegal, or at least unethical, but I paid it anyway, because I can afford $10.50.

Also, this is how sad and pathetic I am when it comes to cleaning and putting things back in the house: Last night, I tackled the pens and office supplies. That’s all– didn’t bring any books back into my room or anything. Just one back of mail that was on the table when we moved everything, and the pens from our desks. And already, it’s building up the clutter in my office.

Oh, and I need more bags and boxes for giving stuff to Goodwill now. Grr.
