4-string dulcimer name
The winner of the name-the-dulcimer poll is “Percival,” which was submitted as “Percy” by , and changed to Percival by me (because I like the full version of the name better). This name is okay with me as a name for this dulcimer, so from here on out, it shall be so.
Which makes this the first “male” instrument I’ve ever owned.

Heh. In the UK, “Percy” is often encountered as part of the phrase, “point Percy at the potty” with undoubtedly obvious connotations. How this applies to a four-string dulcimer is left as an exercise for the reader.
