DC adapter
26-Jun-03
The car/plane adapter for my Powerbook is on its way, via FedEx Ground. Do these things ship from Cupertino, I wonder? Would it have been easier to drive to Apple and pick it up?
And I just realized that the damn thing, which I spent $45 on (including shipping) is the wrong thing. What’s Apple’s return policy? Ah…. wait for the thing to arrive, then call for an RMA.
Dangit.
That was foolish. I should have been more careful.
Sigh.
[LiveJournal won't let me update-- bad servers! Bad! So, I continue the post later....]
Interestingly, the Powerbook goes to sleep when I close the lid. This makes it a less-conspicuous CD-player. I am trying to run it as a cd-player while running down the batteries so it can “Calibrate.” Theoretically, I will need only do this calibration once, but I think I will end up not being able to do it tonight, with Nanoedmo happening tonight and all. Hrm.
Oh, yes. And the Powerbook now has a name. Everyone, please welcome:
She’s sleek, fast, powerful, and hot! (and boy, does this baby heat up!) She’s involved in the overthrow of the dominant paradigm! She’s hell on wheels, but she’s a romantic, through and through.
Yep. Sounds like my mac.
