I will give one free wiffle bat to anyone willing to beat the NewsMax editors to a bloody pulp with it!
Not only are these people hideous spammers, but they are the creators of the ultra-conservative hateful “Deck of Weasels,” a playing card deck featuring the names, faces, and quotes of opponents of the war with Iraq.
What’s more, they made this deck and left me out of it!
Damn them!
So, one free wiffle bat to anyone who will beat NewsMax silly with it!
Offer not valid anywhere.
OK, there are many software programs out there that force ads onto the web pages you’re viewing, report your browsing data illegally, and generally invade your privacy and your desktop space. Some of these piggy-back onto other programs, like Kazaa (”Just say no!”) and are installed silently and without your agreement or permission, except that you agree to the Kazaa EULA, which might mention “third-party applications and plug-ins.” You think that means that Kazaa downloads files for you, and those files might be third-party, but it also means that Kazaa has a piggy-back program called TopText that turns random things in your web page yellow and makes them in to hyperlinks to other sites, or even re-writes hyperlinks that you put in there.
Make no mistake– these programs are stealing from webmasters and content developers, and are invading your privacy. They must be stopped. They are as morally reprehensible as email spam and pop-ups, but are much less obvious about their origins and behavior.
