Grrrr (Late to birthday party)

The only saving grace about being late to the monthly birthday party today and walking in just seconds after they’d said my name (I’ve been here a year– they gave me a mug), is the fact that the CEO wasn’t presenting things today, thank goodness. That man has a way of hitting you where it hurts and in as public a way as possible.

Sigh.

On the up side, I went geocaching at lunch, which is why I was 5 minutes late coming in. I found the cache eventually, but kept getting confused. I guess someone feels the cache might be harboring a kitty– because someone is leaving a plate of cat food out there. I know there was a lost cat mentioned in the cache logs, but…. perhaps leaving cat food out where animals are likely to find it isn’t very responsible land management? This nature area is next to a very busy, fast-moving street. Perhaps… it is time to accept what is a more probable outcome and… let go?

[Of course, it's a lot easier for me to say that-- if my cat got lost, I'd be out there every day looking for him!]

I want. to. rant

But I’m not going to. Because I rant enough. It’s just a lot of negative energy swirling around me, waiting to make me trip and fall flat on my face.

So, instead, I will tell you all that I took some of those music suggestions, bought 2 cds from the poll, plus another that I’d wanted, and the Leonard Cohen Collection song book because I’m kind of demented and think I need more sheet music or something.

I also emailed IT today to see about a new keyboard to ease my poor little wrists and hands. And to raise concerns about some software problems I’m having.

Come to think of it– I just uninstalled semagic– why’s it still here? Hmph!

All right– nuff randomness. At lunch today, I’m going up to the little nature area for a geocache. I don’t know if I want to bother to eat today. I’m hungry but nothing is all that appetizing right now. Also, there’s the birthday thing at 2 (I GET A MUG!!!) so I could just have cake and ice cream instead. I got my bonus today– 45% of it went to taxes! UGH!!!! That’s about $300 more than I thought would end up in taxes…. not. pleased.

Tomorrow is game day. First order of business is non-game stuff like levelling and figuring out a food policy for the group. Then– the adventure begins! Whoo.
