Friday Five

Normally I don’t do these, but they can be fun.

1. What was your most memorable moment from the last week?
having a suicide hoax played on her.

2. What one person touched your life this week?
. Without. A. Doubt. A lot of people touched my life, but she really touched my heart.

3. How have you helped someone this week?
Yes. I have.

4. What one thing do you need to get done by this time next week?
About 5 different documents for work. Argh!

5. What one thing will you do over the next seven days to make your world a better place?
I’m not sure– I made the world a better place this week. Do I need to do that every week?

Music alert: Tim Russ

Tim Russ, who played Tuvok on Star Trek: Voyager, is a fine musician who rocks my world. Very jazzy, a bit of rock and roll, and a real musician’s sensitivity that you just do not see in his acting roles. Also, that man has one very sexy voice– especially when he’s having fun!

He has a new CD that came out this month, called Brave New World, available at the link from Amazon.com. I just ordered it today, and soooo look forward to grooving to it soon!

Even if you could really care less about Star Trek, if you’re on my friends list and you like good, jazz, R&B music, pop over to Amazon.com and have a listen to the teaser-tracks of his self-titled album (Tim Russ). A lot of my friends post “Suggest some music” polls in their journals sometimes– well, I’m suggesting!

Not much to say….

Update: Pez appears to be alive and well.

appears to have taken her own life sometime this morning. Her recent journal entry, posted by a friend of hers, is the only information we have.

I know this will come as a shock to the various support volunteers, and that we’re all going to deal with the emotions this raises in different ways. Please remember that this is not about you. It’s not even about Support, or LiveJournal. Don’t be afraid to talk about how you feel about it, or to be honest with yourself about what you’re feeling and why, even if you’re feeling nothing. Remember that your feelings, even non-feelings, are valid. It’s fair.

If you are ever feeling depressed or are having thoughts about harming yourself, please please please talk to someone. Even a priv– we can help you find some help, or help you think of places to go to get help or to get out of what seems like an unendurable situation.

There is no situation so bad that you can’t survive it until you can improve it. Everything can be survived. Remember that, please. Hold it close, and get help when it gets that bad.

Fingers Gooey

This is a poem I wrote in 2nd grade. My mom loves it.

Fingers Gooey

Fingers gooey with jelly
Can become rather smelly.
Fingers gooey with paint
Can make a teacher faint!”
