Well, the Meetup was. . . . . interesting.
I got to meet some interesting people, including ’s friend , which was fun. I’m hoping might be interested in hiking with Johnnyb sometime.
It’s really awkward to meet people who you know online, because many people who are online are very introverted in person, no matter how outgoing they are virtually. Thus, many awkward silences.
It’s even more awkward to meet people you don’t know online. Nonetheless, it was interesting and, well, the extroverts ( and I) certainly had a decent enough time.
I was also somewhat les than outgoing last night, which was different. In a way, I was just resistant to being there, I think. I really just wanted to be online on IRC with the folks from . Ah, well. We weren’t even playing this week, and I can always finish character-building next week.
No really– she is!!!
My friend is willing to do crazy things for money. Here’s the best part– all moneys will be donated to charity, starting with Comic Relief.
The 5 pounds sterling she’s asking for translates into $8.12 USD right now, which by my reckoning is about one mocha and an espresso brownie at Starbucks
So, donate some cash and then vote on what wild and crazy stunt will do in exchange.

I updated the Cthulhu (default) userpic. I think it looks much better now.
I’m heading to bed in a couple of minutes, but I wanted to post and get a bit of feedback on my new Cthulhu user icon. I might brighten the sigil a bit so it shows up better– not sure yet. Any suggestions for improvement are appreciated.
I just got home from work– I stayed late and printed the manuals for four hours. Ah, well. At least they’re “done.” (I’ve discovered that nothing is ever actually done in technical writing– it just waits for the next rev.)
I am very sore from sitting at my work desk today. My back and especially my neck are all kinked up. Blah.

I think and are planning to be there, which will be fun– get to meet them for the first time! Don’t be ‘fraid of the rain, guys– it’s a short jaunt over, really!
It rained today. We’ve had so few storms this year– it’s good to have a nice torrent, even if it does mean bad traffic snarls and the potential for downed trees.
