My Memories

I wrote a short description of my memory categories, in case you were interested in the things I’ve found interesting, useful, or memorable on LiveJournal.

Birthday Search Mode - 2 entries. Information about looking for birthdays.
Canned - 9 entries. Support answers that I have created in order to have prepared responses to common support requests. You can’t read these posts unless I give you permission.
Chuckle - 3 entries. Funny stuff. Two of these relate to the Invite Code Spammer.
Customization - 11 entries. Have to do with customizing your style and supporting customization in the LiveJournal Support Board (which we no longer do)– somewhat out of date now.
Fitness - 1 entry. When I actually get around to doing anything in this post, I will make more memorable posts about it. Ahem.
Gaming-Related - 1 entry. This has to do with the game. I need to add more entries to it.
Griselde - 3 entries. An idea for a novel that I’m percolating.
HTML: - 1 entry. Tutorials for HTML.
Landlady - 2 entries. Posts related to renting out an apartment or, in this case, a duplex. Maintenance issues, screening applicants, repairs, money woes, etc.
NaNoWriMo - 5 entries. About the novel I wrote in November.
Support - 20 entries. I help out in Support– here are some useful resources about it.
Sweet - 4 entries. Things that are sweet or cool or just memorable in a personal, emotional way, not necessarily for the information or knowledge they contain.
Temp: - 2 entries. Temporary category.
The Renteria Case - 2 entries. Susan Elizabeth Renteria’s pending case in Yuma, AZ.
Travel - 8 entries. Travel-related journal entries. These cover travel journals from the past, travel experiences since I got my journal, and airport security and travel-related security stories.
Writing Assignments - 2 entries. Some short writing exercises to try out if you’re blocked. Also useful when you’re having a bad journalling day.

Keep Resisting!

Dallas Airports Closed for Re-Screening - Anyone notice that whenever there’s a security breach, they can never actually find the person later? Yeah. That’s effective.

Airport Screeners Not Permitted to Unionize - Still think this was a good idea?

Keep Fighting the Good Fight! - Actually, I think we should all do this as often as we can. If you can’t resist in this country, what else can you do?

Did it post?

Tip: If you’re not sure if your journal entry posted, check your RSS feed (http://www.livejournal.com/users/exampleusername/rss) to see if it shows up (put your username in place of “exampleusername” of course). In the case of disappearing and re-appearing posts, this can help you identify if your journal entry went to the server or not.

Also, 2001-05-09- collegegirl- a helpful list of do’s and don’ts….. is a very useful list of things you can do to make this difficult time more bearable.

Oh. And, of course, you should be writing your journal entry someplace where you won’t lose it– like a text editor– today. Write it out, save it, and post it later tonight when http://status.livejournal.org says you should be able to do so again.

For my rat-loving friends

The Rat Spellbook

This is so cool. I know some people who will love this.
