A warning to my friends

This warning was prompted by more than one person– if you think you’re guilty, go edit your posts, but don’t feel too awful about it. You’re in lots of company.

If you recently saw Nemesis or Two Towers, or even Chamber of Secrets, put your comments and raves about the movie(s) after a <lj-cut text=”Movie Spoiler”> tag (you can just copy/paste that into your entry!) so I don’t read about how sad something in Nemesis is or how great this scene in Two Towers is. I’ve seen Chamber of Secrets, but for the sake of your other friends, you should use that lj-cut tag, too.

If you don’t, I will send howling flying monkeys to your house to beat you up and take your slippers.

Owww

I had a Charlie Horse in my left leg last night. Ouch! It’s gonna be sore today, for sure.

Party was fun last night– I’ll post more about the silliness later today.

Daily Doldrums

I didn’t update my journal yet today. Not much to say, despite it being a fairly busy day. . . . .

Interviewed a few more candidates this morning. Won’t discuss it in my journal, though.

Had good news about our deadline today at work. Again, not to discuss in-journal, but it means more time for me to complete deadlines (yay!) Also means I will get to enjoy the holiday party this week (double yay!)

I also got a new assignment here at work. It’s a nice little assignment– nothing too stressful, and with a sweet deadline that lets me know they care and don’t want me to have a nervous breakdown. . . . ahem.

I had a spinach-feta calzone at Borders for lunch. I need to remember not to eat those: they have onions in them and make me kind of sick for the rest of the day. I need to find some sort of lunch food that I can eat every day without getting gassy. PB&J is a good choice, but I never make time in the morning to make my own lunch.

Also at lunch, I bought grandma’s birthday present to send out. And I finished writing a short vignette story for my character, Cass. is my new hero, by the way, for taking the time out of her busy life to put together a game for us.

I have my little christmas shrub lights on this evening here at work.

A friend of mine has his holiday/birthday party tonight, to which I am going. It starts at 6:30. If I leave here at 6, I will almost certainly be one of the first friends through the door (only 15-20 minutes away from work, and no freeways!) Oh, my god– he actually got all 8 of his invitees to attend. I’m now officially impressed. Perhaps I will take pictures and post them somewhere incriminating.

Of course, two of the invitees are work-people (from his work) whom I am not fond of, but whatever. I’m sure he has his own agenda for inviting the guests he has chosen to invite. :P
Well, I got myself some tea and have been drinking it– it’s helped settle my stomach a little bit, so I won’t feel quite so oogy when I go to the party tonight.
