Game night
15-Dec-02
Last night was game night. I wrote an ending sequence for the character who had expired during the previous game session, gave out the holiday gifties, and ran the next stage of the adventure.
They went in with a plan– they took 2 hours to come up with the plan. It was a good plan, involving a small explosive device, some camels, and some really pissed off warrior-women. They were facing about 40 raiders, each with 14 hit points.
They forgot to fucking heal themselves before they attacked.
I could have cried.
They had about 8 h.p. each going in. The combat was over in 4 rounds, ending in their capture.
They woke up chained to a wall in a cell that at least had a bed, a comfy bed, and a chamberpot and light source. But they are definitely imprisoned. I’ll have to think of the next stage in the adventure, as there currently isn’t one written. Yes, they’ve gone off of the module that much.
Sigh.
Edit: If you’re wondering why there are 64+ comments to this journal entry, before you click the link, let me tell you that it’s not another flame war, nor is my D&D game that exciting to anyone (especially my players). I mentioned a desire for more comments in my journal on the IRC chatroom #lj_support and the support volunteers (lacking any answerable questions on the board, I suspect) obliged. . . .
